Dr. Eric Flamholtz, who co-founded Management
Systems in 1978, has focused his career on two fundamental questions:
What does it take to continue to be successful organizations over the long
term? and, What is required for managers to continue to be successful throughout
their careers? Answering these questions has led Dr. Flamholtz to develop
a series of frameworks and management tools that
enable organizations and individuals to successfully transitions
from one stage of development to the next.
Eric Flamholtz has helped hundreds of organizations make successful
transitions at different stages of growth and development. Among his recent
clients are Starbucks Coffee company, Cendant Mortgage, American Century
Investors, Pacificare Health Systems, Baskin-Robbins, Citation Corporation,
City National Bank, and Neutrogena. He also has worked with IBM, Knapp
Communications Corp., Touche Ross, New World Entertainment, and Edison
Mission Energy.
Additionally, Dr. Flamholtz has presented seminars and workshops for
a wide variety of organizations, including Amgen, Nike, Colgate, AT&T,
Hughes Electronics, ARCO, and Hyatt Corporation. He has also been a speaker
at the Fortune Growth Company Forum and the Forbes Presidents Forum.
A recognized authority in the field of organizational management and
development, Dr. Flamholtz has authored several books,
including How to Make the Transition from an Entrepreneurship to a Professionally
Managed Firm, Growing Pains, The Inner Game of Management (co-authored),
Human resource Accounting, Effective Organizational Control, and Changing
the Game: Managing Organizational Transformations of the First, Second,
and Third Kinds (co-authored).
