**Job Market Update** I will be joining the faculty at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business on July 1, 2013

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Finance Ph.D. program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

My current areas of research are in Corporate Finance, Consumer Finance, Delegated Investment Management, Industrial Organization, and Organizational Economics.  I also have interest in the effects of credit derivatives on capital structure decisions, risk management, and bargaining with asymmetric information.

Prior to my time at UCLA, I worked as a fixed income research analyst for Smith Breeden Associates, Inc. (Durham, North Carolina).  I worked in the areas of structured credit products, corporate debt, and mortgage-backed securities.

I obtained a BS in Applied Mathematics and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2005.  In 2010 I obtained my MA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.  Additionally, I am a CFA charterholder.

I can be contacted at shaun.davies.2013@anderson.ucla.edu.
